  • Bryce spoke with his mother over the phone, His mother reports that they had a pleasant conversation around five that night, and that she thought Bryce seemed normal to her.

8.27

  • Bryce admits to his girlfriend that he had taken some Vyvanse when she asked if he was alright when she noticed he was being kinda strange.

8.28

  • 10pm – After driving to her apartment, Bryce attempts to break up with his girlfriend. Kim claimed that Bryce seemed unwell during their interaction. He also gives his friends a lot of his things, including diamond earrings from his mom, and his his X-Box. Bryce’s friends take his keys away because they are worried he is not acting like himself.
  • Bryce speaks to his mother on the phone She gives him permission to drive back to school, his friends give him back his keys. He tells her he has a lot to talk to her about.
  • 1130pm – Bryce leaves Chico and his mother believes that he is going back to college at this time, however it soon becomes apparent he is probably going to his parents home in Laguna Nigel. (We have to assume that this was his end destination, at least originally)

8.29

  • 9am– Bryce runs out of gas in Buttonwillow, CA.
  • 12pm – Roadside Assistance brings Bryce three gallons of gasoline.
  • At some point during the morning the Laspisa’s are notified by their credit card company that a roadside service charge had been applied to a credit card in their name. The location of the charge was in Buttonwillow which is only about three and a half hours from the Laspisa home in Laguna Nigel. At this point, Bryce’s parents assume Bryce must be on his way to their house and that he should be home soon.
  • 1230pm – Bryce begins to ignore his mother’s phone calls and does so for several hours.
  • She calls roadside assistance and they confirm that they brought Bryce gas and they even offered to go back to check up on him to make sure everything was alright.
  • When they went back to check on him he was still in the same spot hours and hours later. Bryce said he was doing nothing when Christian from roadside assistance has him call his mom.
  • 9pm – Police are called at this point and they conduct a welfare check on Bryce at this time. He is still is Buttonwillow at this time. The police also have Bryce do a sobriety test, they claim that he passed. About 20 minutes later the police leave Bryce after telling him to be safe and having him call his mom.
  • 11pm – Bryce is STILL in Buttonwillow, he calls his mother to tell her he is getting a drink from a gas station and that he’s going back to the I-5 soon.

8.30

  • 150am – Bryce tells his mom that he had now gotton back onto the I-5, (He claims he cannot see any signs though).
  • 208am – Bryce speaks to his mother for the very last time. He tells her that he is tired and he is going to pull off the highway and rest. He tells her he is only about 3 hours and 25 minutes from their house and that he would leave early that morning to come home to their house.
  • During the next few hours video cameras would record Bryce driving in a loop near Castaic Lake several times. (He was clearly either waiting for someone or something, or possibly buying time in order to delay having to go home)
  • 5am – Police find Bryce’s overturned SUV on Lake Hughes Road, his back window had been smashed from the inside and all of his valuables and ID were left behind.
  • 8am – Police arrive at the Laspisa family home in Laguna Nigel, they notify Bryce’s family that they cannot find him and that his car was discovered down a 15 foot ravine near Castaic Lake. (I’ve also seen it reported that it was actually a 25 foot drop.)

9.1

  • “Find Bryce Laspisa” Facebook page is launched.

Evidence & Investigation:

Important Details

  • Bryce gave away important personal belongings to his friends before leaving college.
  • I strongly suggest that Bryce probably didn’t plan on returning to school (at least for a time).
  • Men ages 18 to 25 are the most likely to develop sudden psychotic illness/break.
  • Stimulant abuse is most common in people aged 18 to 25.
  • I think that its very likely that Bryce was suffering from a drug/alcohol problem. (I’ll explain why later, but the odds are kinda against him due to his gender and age).
  • It is widely accepted that Bryce’s end target on his road trip was likely his parents house in Laguna Niguel. Below, i have attached a photo of the most direct route from Chico to where Bryce’s parents lived.
  • As shown below, we can see that it really should have only taken Bryce about 8 hours to get to his parents house, its obvious that he was either attempting to stall his arrival or he was waiting for something or someone. This trip took Bryce DAYS to complete and he never reached his final destination from what i can tell.
  • Cryptic messages to friends and family: “Your better off without me” “I have a lot to talk to you about”.
  • California has the largest number of missing people out of every state in the entire United States.
  • An increase in alcohol and drug use is often a precursor to suicide and can be a warning sign for many illnesses.

Initial Search/Findings

After Bryce’s crashed car was discovered near Castaic Lake, the pressure was on to find him. Bryce’s parents and the Police Department began talking with people who were with Bryce before he disappeared, and began to formulate theories about what could have happened to Bryce. 5 days after Bryce disappeared a burnt body was found a few miles from where his car had crashed, at first it was thought that this could possibly be Bryce’s body. However, it was eventually discovered that this was not the case. (I find it unlikely that this is just a random coincidence but i suppose we have to trust the police here.) During these first days it was critical to put together a timeline for Bryce and to speak to the people that were with him last. The more Bryce’s story was dissected by police, they realized that Bryce was caught on camera continuing to drive around Castaic Lake after he told his parents he was pulling over to rest for the night.

When Police and Bryce’s family reached out to his friends and girlfriend at college for more information they gave a disturbing description about Bryce’s recent behaviors. Kim claimed that she believed that Bryce was abusing alcohol and Vyvanse (Up to two bottles of liquor a weekend). Later, Bryce’s roommate told Karen that Bryce’s behaviors drastically changed after an all night – Vyvanse induced video game binge. If you are unaware, Vyvanse is a ADHD medication, it is an extremely strong stimulant/amphetamine. Vyvanse is a schedule 11 controlled substance, and can be highly addictive when abused. Overall, at first it kind of seemed that his friend and roommate Sean Dixon believed that he was okay, just didn’t necessarily want to be found. Since many years have passed now, i kinda think Sean might not feel this way anymore because its very hard to live so under the radar that no one knows if your even alive or dead. I just think that would probably be too hard for Bryce to pull off for years without the police or his family finding him.

The effects of Vyvanse and excessive alcohol use must be considered first when researching Bryce’s disappearance because of the behaviors Bryce exhibited directly before he went missing. Bryce attempted to lie about where he was, telling his parents one thing than doing another. Bryce’s friends and girlfriend were both worried about his behavior so much that they felt unsafe letting Bryce drive anywhere and they told his mom this over the phone. Bryce even gave away his mothers diamond earrings that she had given to him to wear, these are not normal behaviors and seriously disturbed the people around him.

Mediums/ Psychics

Obviously, this case captivates many people. Many have even suggested using the help of a medium or psychic to try and locate Bryce. On Bryce’s facebook page many interactions surrounding this idea are present:

“Have you ever considered contacting Laura Lynn Jackson??? She has two books out now- “The Light Between Us” & “Signs”. I believe both have been on the New York Times Best sellers list. She has done psychic work with law enforcement to solve cases & has gone through rigorous testing under double blind studies to get her certification as a psychic/Medium. I check back here often looking for updates. I pray you will get answers”❤️

“We have used a number of psychics, clairvoyants and intuitive mediums … none have provided any meaningful information.”

Updates?

On October 26th 2019, decomposed human remains were discovered in Santa Clarita, California. Santa Clarita is only about a 14 minute drive from Castaic.

With human remains being found in such close proximity to where Bryce was last seen, it has caused many to believe they might have found Bryce after all this time. It has been released to the public that the remains were at least a year old upon the initial examination. These remains were unearthed during the aftermath of a forest fire. (There are SO many forest/tick fires in this area its actually quite concerning) While Bryce’s parents have already dismissed this finding, telling people they know it is not Bryce. (I have no idea how/why they know its not him positively if the police don’t even know themselves yet. I tend to think shock/denial is probably to blame) However, local police say they have still not been able to identify the remains yet, even after a months time, and it will likely take more time due to the state of the decomposed remains. Hopefully we can learn the identity of these remains soon. Obviously, if this does end up being Bryce i will be posting an update about his case.

As recent as December 10th 2018 the LA Times reported that it is possible that more than one set of human remains were found in this area and its possible they found two seperate sets of skeletal remains here. I believe that these bodies are in addition to the one discovered this past October of 2019. (The number of bodies found in this area is actually startling.) I actually have a theory that a serial killer could be killing and disposing of young men along river banks near Castaic and Santa Clarita.

Bryce’s family keeps a Facebook page dedicated in his honor, this is where they post updates about Bryce’s disappearance. Most recently, photos of a young man that were posted to the Facebook page dedicated to finding Bryce were thought to be Bryce. Below, i have attached the photos of the young man in question. Now, when asked this man did claim that he was from Torrance according to the few people who claimed that they had spoken with him. Now, Bryce’s family have said they don’t believe this is him and they have asked the public to trust that they are doing everything to look into these types of claims.

However, a lot of people have doubts and continue to believe that this could be Bryce and that his parents should go see for themselves. Some even express a lot of anger towards Bryce’s family because they don’t believe they take these types of claims seriously enough, because they are too caught up in the vision or image they have of Bryce in their minds. Here are some of the comments reacting to the family denying this is Bryce: “This guy looks exactly like him. You don’t think it’s him because he said his name is Nelson and that he is from Torrance?! He can give whatever name and location he wants. His face is the same-hairline and ear and cheekbones everything looks like Bryce. I bet his tattoo is under the sleeve. There is no way to tell for sure unless u talk to him yourself or get fingerprints”.

“ARE THEY SURE this isn’t him? I kind of see tattoos I believe, i screenshot and played with editing…couldn’t get a clear view of tattoos or dirt? I am praying for your family. The show mentions that if he has suffered some sort of brain injury, he wouldn’t know who he is, tattoos can fade but that seems to look a lot like him from the photo”. Bryce’s Grandmother personally replied to this particular comment explaining: “We are his family and would know if it is Bryce. Please stop badgering”. (i would go check if it was my family, i would never just dismiss something like this over a few photos). Unfortunately, this photo has actually caused a lot of people to become angry with the Laspisa family and has caused fighting among the group.

In my opinion i think this looks a lot like Bryce, but, if he had lived on the streets for many years we truly cannot really know what he would look like today, even family might not recognize Bryce at this point so it is important to follow all leads even if we don’t think its him. For me, i could never just look at a photo though and know for sure i don’t think. It looks like this individual is having some type of mental health problems/episode as well so he could also say anything to people asking questions. But, I’ve heard security in this area has been given Bryce’s photo so that’s still great. If i lived in California i’d go see for myself, i think i would have to if he was my family member.

Find Bryce Facebook Page

The facebook page that was started by Bryce’s family was dedicated to finding their son and bringing him back home. Even today, leads and possible sightings still come into the facebook page. Karen eventually started encouraging others to do random acts of kindness in Bryce’s honor as well.

Bryce’s family continues to update his Facebook page in the hope that a promising tip or sighting is sent to them regarding Bryce. If you want to follow Bryce’s story and be kept up to date on the search for him then follow the “Find Bryce Laspisa” Facebook page. Now, its been many years since Bryce’s car was found crashed and abandoned on Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, however, his parents and their family still have hope that they will one day find Bryce, or at least find some closure. Near the 6th anniversary of Bryce’s disappearance, Karen Laspisa posted this post along with a sweet picture of her and her son, Bryce. “It has been 6 years since Bryce went missing. We live with a permanent hole in our hearts and hope for answers. We are grateful to so many that continue to share Bryce’s information.
Please continue random acts of kindness and keep Bryce’s story alive”.

Notable Aspects:

Vyvanse Abuse

It appears Bryce was purposely abusing the drug Vyvanse at least to some extent in the weeks and days before he went missing. Below, i have attached a photo of what Vyvanse capsules look like for reference. On a thread for Vyvanse use a woman described that her initial experiences with Vyvanse were great but soon that all changed.

Vyvanse 50 mg (S489 50 mg)

Here is her excerpt: “That’s what happens to everyone when they’re first introduced to Vyvanse, it fixes your entire life and then suddenly and surprisingly it ruins it in new ways. It’s been little more than a year since I started taking it, and it didn’t take very long for the bad effects of it to hit me: Every time I consume this drug I get depressed, I feel empty and anxious, my head hurts and I lose all my motivation because the sadness it brings is stronger than any other positive effect it is intended to give its users. I have never been this depressed in my life, and I blame this drug for that, I mostly (if not only) feel this way when I’m on it.”

This admission is pretty similar to what seemed to be happening to Bryce, and this is how most addictions begin. At first your experience with the substance might even be positive, but shortly after that, the experience starts to change for the person. According to Drugabuse.com, Vyvanse has an extraordinary likelihood of abuse and addiction if used incorrectly. Vyvanse can cause an individuals emotional/mental health to decline, leading to a maladaptive pattern of drug abuse. Bryce’s parents strongly oppose this theory and they actually believe that Bryce experimented with drugs a “normal” amount. Karen explains that she doesn’t believe someone could develop a drug habit in the matter of a few weeks time or how a drug addiction of a large magnitude could form so easily. However, with Vyvanse when you are addicted to it you will continue abusing the drug despite its negative effects on your health, life, or happiness and will likely have a very hard time going off the drug without professional help.

Bryce’s parents have lot of misconceptions about drug use. There are alot of drugs you cannot just casually use and be fine. Also, an addiction can develop very fast, its a misconception that drug addictions take long periods to develop. There are some drugs you can become addicted to just after using them one time. I hope these were not teachings they passed on to their son. If Bryce also felt this way it could have actually contributed to his drug use and made him think he would not develop an addiction.

Giving Away Prized Possessions

Directly prior to Bryce’s disappearance he gave his diamond earrings away to his girlfriend that he had gotten from his mom. According to Karen, Bryce would never have just given away something so special and valuable that had been a gift from his mom. He also gave his roomate his Xbox. According to his parents Bryce loved to play games and they don’t understand why he would give away his most favorite possessions. Overall, this is a weird thing to give away especially since game consoles are so expensive, why would you just give it to someone unless you either planned on never coming back or planned on coming back for it eventually.

Overall, the fact that Bryce gave away his most prized and expensive items does seem kinda concerning. To me it does seem like this was either a way to say goodbye to them or a way to apologize to them for something. I tend to think that Bryce probably didn’t plan on returning to school and i have a feeling that was part of what he wanted to talk to his mom so badly about.

This fact obviously leads many to think that Bryce was planning on commiting suicide, as sometimes people who are planning on ending their lives will give away favorite possens to their loved ones. This is their way of trying of making preparations for their deaths. I don’t believe that this is why Bryce did this though. It seems like he was probably trying to make up for leaving his girlfriend and friends behind. He gave away probably the most expensive things he owned so i get the feeling that this was done out of guilt most likely.

Ignoring Phone Calls

Bryce ignored a lot of his parents phone calls while he was traveling, this is kinda suspicious and it definitely makes it seem like Bryce was at some sort of impasse in his life and just wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. This fact also gives us a picture of Bryce’s mental/emotional health during this time and he definitely had a lot on his mind. Bryce had even told his mother that he had a lot that he needed to talk about with them.

Seeking isolation can also be an indicator/warning sign of major depression and suicidal thoughts. Bryce ignored phone calls and sat in his car on the side of a road for hours and hours and had no contact with anyone and refused to answer or return any calls to his mom and dad.

Possible Sleep Deprivation

Just prior to his disappearance it has been claimed that Bryce had been abusing the ADHD/ADD medication Vyvanse to stay awake all night long to play video games without needing to sleep as much. So, when Bryce left Chico the night before he officially disappeared he had already not been sleeping as much as he should have been. The effects of sleep deprivation can be very extreme and could definitely cause a severe accident like the one Bryce had the night he disappeared. Among other things sleep deprivation can cause problems with focus and can cause extreme sleepiness. Lack of sleep is actually a major contributing factor in many automobile accidents as well. If Bryce had gone without sleeping for too long then it is possible that lack of sleep could have influenced his car accident on the night that he disappeared. This could also account for his odd and bizarre behaviors as well. Lack of sleep can also make psychosis worse as well. After the crash Bryce could have been confused and or embarrassed and simply walked away and hasn’t been found.

What Did Bryce Need To Talk To His Mom About

Only children often depend on their parents psychologically a lot more than those with siblings do (I am an only child im allowed to say this, ha). Bryce was probably not an exception to this and some people have even claimed he had a very codependent relationship with his parents and that they actually strongly encouraged the dependence, and it shows because he definitely was very close to his mom and dad. You don’t get tattoos in your parents honor if your not close. YOU JUST DON’T.

Another important detail to consider here is that only children can often appear more mature than their peers, but they are also more prone to have anxiety and low self esteem. I’m sure Bryce did have some important stuff to talk to his mom and dad about but i strongly doubt that it was something so serious that Bryce would stage a severe accident and leave to never return again every again and never tell anyone where he was or it he was alive. I have a theory that Bryce was likely going to either tell his parents that he had a drug/alcohol problem or that he was going to leave school. I’m sure whatever Bryce needed to talk to his parents about was probably a source of shame for him and he likely knew what ever it was would probably disappoint his mom and dad..

I’m sure Bryce knew that he could go to them with anything and they would figure it out together as a family. I’m sure what Bryce needed to talk with his parents about was very important but i tend to lean away from the idea that it had a lot to do with his car crash and subsequent disappearance, just because it seems like such an extreme reaction to a temporary problem..

Theories:

Ran Away

Overall, this is a really sad theory to even have to consider. However, there are some people that believe that it is possible Bryce could have simply ran away and has just decided to never come back. Personally, i think that would be really weird to just run away after a car crash. I don’t think Bryce would run away and it doesn’t really appear that he had any obvious reasons for wanting to leave his life behind. Outwardly, things seemed to be going alright for Bryce and its hard to imagine something being so wrong he decided to make people think he died. Something very severe would need to be wrong to make someone do that and something that big would probably be more noticable in someones life.

Furthermore, the biggest issue i have with this theory is that no one can live off the grid easily anymore. If Bryce is alive then he has not use a credit card, he has not applied for a job or used his social security number or even rented an apartment in 6 years. That’s the main issue i have with this theory, its very hard to survive without leaving a single trace of your existence. However, if Bryce is living among the homeless or transients then its likely we wouldn’t find a paper trail for him. I think that this theory can probably ruled out for the most part.

Suicide /Attempted Suicide

Bryce did have some indicators of suicidal behaviors before his disappearance, this leads many to think he may have ended his life. However, Bryce’s family strongly oppose this theory.

  • Bryce gave away prized possessions that were very important to him and they were very expensive. Sometimes people who are suicidal give gifts to their loved ones in a way to make up for what they plan on doing.
  • Excessive drug and alcohol abuse can be an indicator of major depression and can make depression worse. Self destructive spirals are common among those with suicidal thoughts and severe depression, excessive alcohol use can be a part of this process.
  • Overall, it is pretty odd that Bryce would give away his favorite possessions and engage in risky out of character behaviors. We cant really rule this theory out at all at this point.

I think that if Bryce did commit suicide his body probably would have been found eventually and it hasn’t so i tend to believe that Bryce didn’t die the night of the crash. However, suicide definitely could have been something that Bryce had considered but its extremely hard to hide your own body. You can hide another persons body but hiding your own is very hard to do. His car crash definitely could have been done on purpose and when that failed he just went somewhere else to end his life. But, if that is what happened where is his body? Why has it never been found? Its also important to know that when a suicide attempt fails its actually not that common to immediately go try again.

Head/Brain Injury

Its hard to believe that Bryce could have launched his car off of a 15-25 foot cliff and walked away without a single injury. Personally, i believe that Bryce likely was injured in that accident at least somewhat. Its also important to note that severe brain injuries can occur with minimal external damage. Sometimes people who get concussions regain consciousness and don’t even know their own names, this can also be accompanied by severe head pain and confusion, disorientation, and vision issues.

In fact, car accidents cause traumatic brain injuries a lot and are one of the main contributors to these types of brain injuries. Below, i have attached a photo showing how TBI occur.

TBI

An extremely important fact to mention here is that a TBI can kill you if it is severe enough, they can also cause the individual to remain unconscious for several hours and can cause amnesia when the person finally regains consciousness. Overall, there are roughly five different types of brain injuries a person can have according to the Mayfield clinic (Not including secondary brain injuries). however, the most important facts to note here is that there are two different types of injuries that can be suffered from a TBI. Your injury can be localized or diffuse. For example, a concussion is a diffuse injury while a contusion is a localized injury. A diffuse injury injuries large portions of the brain while locialized injuries injury a particular area. The science behind TBI is very complex and cannot really be summed up in a few paragraphs unfortunately.

If Bryce had a TBI and it caused damage to his temporal lobe it could have compromised his ability to remember his past well if at all. Memory is stored throughout the cortex, but Bryce’s connection to his past would have been stored mostly in his temporal lobe. His ability to communicate could also have been disrupted if this area was injured. Search dogs did track Bryce’s sent to a nearby truck stop, which does indicate that he did walk away from the crash at some point. Bryce could simply be living as part of the massive homeless population in California. You would think that someone would go to the hospital if they had been in a serious accident and couldn’t remember anything but i suppose that if you were confused and your judgement or reasoning was off then you might not do the obvious thing or the smart thing.

Foul Play

Foul play is something we have to consider in this scenario as well. It is totally possible that Bryce became involved with the wrong people or he might have owed someone money. But i tend to not believe this theory because overall there isn’t really any evidence to suggest this happened, but its not exactly easy to rule out either. He certainly could have just been in the wrong spot at the wrong time or could even have been picked up by the wrong person at that truck stop and they ended up harming him and leaving him somewhere far away and he just has never been found.

Psychotic Break

Unfortunately, its actually common for people who are experiencing psychotic breaks to become confused and lost. Sometimes these people are found years later on the opposite end of the country. Bryce is also the right age for a psychotic break as well. Mental illnesses often begin to manifest during a person’s late teens to early twenties, typically from the ages of 18 to 25. Drug use can also be a trigger and or a warning sign for many mental illnesses as well and according to people who knew him, Bryce often abused drugs and alcohol (AND it wasn’t a new thing for him like his parent have tried to claim). Bryce was also at an age when addictions can be more common, drug and alcohol addictions are also a lot more common in young men than in women. All of these factors could have contributed to psychosis in Bryce. There are also some cases where head injuries have triggered delusional disorders as well.

If Bryce truly is living among homeless or transients and has lost touch with reality or cannot remember who he is due to suffering some type of psychosis then its even more important that we continue to share his photo and his story that way we can increase the likelihood that Bryce will finally be brought home.

Unfortunate Circumstance

Possible sleep deprivation and or drug use could have also been the catalyst for Bryce’s odd behaviors and his car accident. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and unfortunately this might be what happened here. Bryce could have simply made a few bad choices and the consequences of these decisions were extreme. It is possible that Bryce simply wandered off after his accident and he hasn’t been found yet.

Final Thoughts:

What I Think Happened

Out of all of the theories discussed here i believe that its most likely that Bryce was either injured in his car accident and now is disabled because of it or he had a drug addiction/problem that caused him to develop some sort of drug induced psychosis or delusional disorder. Overall, i tend to believe the Bryce is alive but not necessarily in a normal state of mind to be able to get himself help and or home. We know that Bryce walked away from his crash but we are not sure what kind of state he was in after the crash or if he even knew where he was. Bryce could have also fallen asleep at the wheel if he hadn’t been sleeping enough or if he had been under the influence of drugs, later he might have just left out of shame or embarrassment especially if he felt like he was at fault for the accident.

My final thoughts on this case are that unfortunate choices seemed to have lead Bryce down a path that created a terrible chain of events to unfold. It’s likely Bryce was tired and or on drugs and after his accident he was confused and is still alive just not in his right mind. Continued drug use could also contribute to memory loss or self imposed isolation. It’s possible that Bryce is hiding out of shame for his drug problems which probably would have gotten worse over time and not better (Especially without treatment). Bryce could also have switched to using harder substances like Methamphetamine or Crack Cocaine if he couldn’t get his drug of choice as easily while living on the streets or living as a transient. I believe that Bryce is probably alive and just doesn’t want to be found or he is too confused or injured to seek proper help to come home.

How You Can Help Bryce And His Family

If you want to help bring Bryce home, follow his Facebook page for updates and try to spread his newest missing flyer in areas often frequently visited by transients and or the homeless. Bryce has not been heard from or seen in years and this would be very hard to do if he had a job or a home or any friends at all. He doesn’t have any credit in his name and he has not filed taxes or even been admitted to a hospital in the past 6 years so its most likely that Bryce does live among Southern California’s very large homeless/transient population. California has more homeless people than any other state so if you live in that area please be on the lookout for Bryce, its possible Bryce could look a lot different after living on the streets for almost a decade.

If you believe that you see Bryce please attempt to talk with him and see if he will allow you to look at his arm for his tattoo. Offering water or money could also help to open a dialogue as well. Bryce may not even know he is Bryce or that so many people are looking for him, especially if he has suffered from a severe head injury. Bryce could also be using a different name if he didn’t remember his old one so remember even if the person claims to not be Bryce or says a different name please still try to get a look at their arm and call the LASD immediately. Before contacting Bryce’s family with information please call the police they are the ones who can get Bryce immediate help and or medical attention. Below, is Bryce’s newest missing flyer that has all the information needed to contact the police working on his case.

Below, I have attached a photo of Bryce’s quarter sleeve tattoo for reference. Bryce has an M and a K as part of his tattoo as an ode to his mom and dad. Its so obvious that Karen and Mike were extremely close to their only son. Karen has actually described Bryce’s disappearance as being worse than death. (SO sad, I know) I just don’t understand why she didn’t go get her only son when he was only three hours away??

No photo description available.

Hopefully, 2019 is the last year Bryce’s family will have to suffer through this heartbreak. It is my hope to help bring more awareness to this case and to hopefully help to finally bring Bryce home. If you have your own thoughts and ideas about this case let me know what you think happened here.

See you all in 2020. January’s case will be covering the mysterious death of Elisa Lam and the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles.

  1. Sorry, not your article. But all articles I read said that he went to Sierra college in Chico. Yours did not, just wondering if you know why this was always posted by other sites. Rocklin is 20 miles outside of Sacramento, which would make it about 90 miles away from Chico.

  2. Why is it saying that he went to Sierra college in Chico? There is no Sierra college in Chico. There’s Chico state university or butte college. Sierra college is in rocklin. What’s the deal?

  6. Wow you have a lot of facts wrong and I didn’t make it very far, so let’s make sure to be accurate. Bryce was neither of his parents’ biological child, he was adopted period. His family is from Chicago, not Michigan and he gave the diamond earrings to a guy he was friends with or a roommate, not his girlfriend. Had he given earrings to a girlfriend that would make romantic and sentimental sense, but this was just Bryce giving things away which as you point out, is concerning. Ok I skimmed through the rest looks ok. Nice job compiling information and solid theories.

    1. I did post my sources for a reason to show where I find my information. Bryce’s mother said that he gave away her diamond earrings to his girlfriend in an interview. So if she was incorrect I do apologize. I was also under the impression that Bryce was indeed adopted by his father but was the biological son to his mom. However, if you have true sources that show that I’m wrong I’d love to see them so I can update this.

      1. Well I do apologize that you feel that way, that’s definitely not my intention as I spend close to 40 / 50 hours on each of my posts. I do post my sources for a reason so it seems like many of them might also have incorrect information then. Like I previously said I will definitely update this with this new information. Thank you for the source as well.

  7. I have a theory on this. And I’m sure you’ve probably heard this before. I believe that the use of alcohol , vyvanse and lack of sleep caused serious depression. I think because he was so close to his parents, he was ashamed to admit that he was abusing alcohol and drugs. He had Sean and Kim tell his mom that something was going on with him so he knew there would be a point that he would have to admit to these things. Here’s what I think happened on his way home. I think he waited around in that town for all those hours in hopes that his parents would come “save” him. Meaning, the suicidal thoughts were there. But at no point did he want to admit that he needed them. I think finally after speaking to his mom that last time, he knew they weren’t coming. He purposely crashed but survived. I think he then walked to the truck stop, hitched a ride and either just walked away or succumbed to suicide some time later. As an only child, who is close to her parents, I know I hate to disappoint them and I want to be near them if I’m struggling. Even as an adult. I also believe he really had them fooled. Unfortunately. I think they are living with the fact that they didn’t go to him. I think they know how big of a mistake that was. So sad. This story makes my heart hurt for all of them.
