Up till now, the entire state of Florida is completely desperate in their search for the wanted (and, allegedly guilty) Brian Laundrie, as the search for him entered it’s 5th week and potentially final week.
Even “Dog” the Bounty Hunter had been searching the everglades and beyond for the “missing” man. Meanwhile, somehow intelligent and better men like Jelani Day sat in an Illinois morgue for the better part of three weeks before finally being identified as the missing graduate student whose family had been desperate for answers. Meanwhile, the manhunt For the missing Brian Laundrie is heating up as we are now officially in the second month of searching.
When I say everyone is looking for this guy, I mean it. Even volunteer search and rescue teams and off duty police are said to be assisting in this search. Once again, the state of Florida has come together for the same purpose. They are out for blood. I’ve even heard some people mention the death penalty
Today marks the 39th day of the search for Brian, and this afternoon (10.20.21) around 2pm CNN was the first to report that it had been confirmed by people on the ground that partial human remains had indeed been found along with a backpack matching the description of Brian’s Backpack along with a notebook confirmed to be Brian’s, within the original search area at the Carlton Reserve.
Update (the partial skeletal remains found HAVE been confirmed as belonging to Brian Laundrie, by the FBI on 10.21.21)
This one has been a long time coming, as we’ve heard weeks of testimony from both sides of the courtroom, and, one truth has become very clear. The perpetual idea in true crime that it’s “Always the husband” just wasn’t true in this case. It was the wife. And now, so many of us are now asking what happens when it’s the wife whose the abuser? Well, that’s what’s been playing out before all of us these past few weeks. I’ve always said, the only good thing the COVID19 pandemic gave us, was livestreamed court cases straight to our TV’s, because they have BOOMED in frequency over the past two plus years. And, honestly in my opinion, they truly never disappoint, Depp v. Heard certainly didn’t. Deliberations are officially over, and i have no doubt that justice will be swift.
I’m sure I’m not the only one whose been obsessed with the endless Depp v. Heard sage that’s been happening in front of our eyes these past few weeks. But, I want to remind everyone, while we have been living with this reality for only six weeks, this has been Johnny Depp’s reality for years now. He’s had to live with the blow back from a vindictive and scorned woman since 2016. He’s lost countless movie deals with companies from Warner Brothers to Disney, and his image has taken a huge hit along with his loss of income. So, now that has been officially released that Johnny won the case, Amber should have to face whatever criticism, charges, or settlements that Johnny’s defense and the public throw her way. Her behavior has been abominable and extremely embarrassing to watch as a fellow woman. Johnny was completely within his right to sue his ex wife, and when asked why it was so important, Johnny cited his children as his main reason. While grown, and no longer truly “children” I found it extremely honorable that Johnny was most focused on his kids during this crazy time, and clearing his name for THEM.
But, tons of people are now asking, what happens to Amber and Johnny now that the trial is officially over? Now, People are mostly focusing on the future of their careers as well as the costly settlement Amber will have to pay to Johnny. So, what happens if Amber cant afford to pay Johnny the 15 million dollars she now owes him? Will either party ever be able to truly recover their careers? I tend to think that for Amber, her career is probably over for the most part, somethings you just don’t come back from, and getting caught lying about being a domestic violence survivor for clout is definitely one of those things. Interestingly, It appears that Ambers defense team hasn’t waited a single second, as they have already filed an appeal of the judges decision. And Meanwhile, Ambers legal trouble is far from over, she has another criminal case pending in Australia currently as well.
Johnny, while his personal reputation has taken a massive hit, I suspect he will find work again easily, and already appears to be doing this. BUT. his drug and alcohol problems will surly not be forgotten anytime soon, and honestly I really hope people don’t judge Johnny too strongly for that conduct, being in the limelight can be extremely stressful. Most recently, Johnny has been seen traveling to France to begin filming a new feature film. So, thankfully it does look like Depp’s career is starting to kick off again, despite Amber Heards best efforts to ruin his reputation. As far as the settlement goes, it will not be good for Amber at all. Basically, Amber has three options. She can try to dispute the claim amount with the judge to attempt to get the settlement decreased or thrown out entirely, which according to Heards’ defense this was something that they were considering. It appears that her defense team is attempting to currently fight the entire settlement in the hopes of getting the decision overturned in full. The only other option left to Amber if these things do not work though is to file for bankruptcy. Or, she can grovel and try to get Johnny and his defense to lower the settlement amount (they shouldn’t do this for her in my opinion though.) And, here’s why.
Amber Heard has set woman back at least 50 years, and countless people will surely use this case (Likely for decades) to dismiss true victims of domestic violence. And, its devastating to witness, especially in a time where believing woman, and getting woman to come forward after any type of attack has become even more critical. Amber lied about something that happens to woman all across the world, each and every day. Woman everywhere, go home each day to the person whose most likely to kill them in the entire world. And, woman who are abused know that truth better than anyone. Amber did a great injustice to domestic violence survivors everywhere, and she shouldn’t be allowed to get away with that.
Several bone fragments were discovered this past week on/near Loon Mountain in Northern New Hampshire. This recent discovery has true fans everywhere speculating about who the bones could be from and how they got there. It was released that currently forensic specialists are attempting to figure out just how old the bones are or what gender they are from. Right now, all we know is that the bone fragments discovered are located about 25 miles from the last place Maura Murray was seen before disappearing in 2004.
If you forgot or if you’re unaware Maura Murray went missing after a car crash in northern New Hampshire in the winter of 2004. Its one of those cases where we don’t really know why she was there, what she was doing, or where she went after her accident. Now, the only issue I see with this new development is that these bone fragments were found 25 miles from her last known location. Maura was a runner so it is possible she could’ve run that far or asked asked someone for a ride. But I tend to doubt both just because of the conditions outside but in a life or death situation I wouldn’t put it past someone to run that far. Do you think that this is the break that we’ve all been waiting for for the last 17 years or do you think that this is just another dead end? for the family sake I truly do hope that this is finally the answer that they have been looking for for all of these years and that finally they can turn the porch light off.
REST IN PEACE GABBY
Firstly, I just want to say that the Gabby Petito case has truly captivated the nation and I’m so proud of the response we have given this case. Unfortunately, I don’t have good news to report. As of the 19th of September around 6 PM EST it was released by the police working on Gabby’s case in a press conference that they do believe that they have found Gabby‘s remains in a Wyoming state park (Grand Teton Natl Park). Its important to mention that two other people also went missing The terrain where they were searching for Gabby undoubtedly was not easy terrain to search and I just want to shout out all of the search and rescue persons and all the police that helped look for Gabby during this time. Their help and dedication was so instrumental in bringing Gabby home to her family.
The next most important step in this case will be to figure out the cause of death for Gabby and to forensicly determine this is gabby, what exactly happened and also finding the POS who did this to her. If you don’t know, Gabby went on a van trip across the country with her then boyfriend Brian….and at the end of the trip her boyfriend actually had the audacity to come back without her. Basically, with no explanation or excuse. Don’t mind me while I wave my red flag 🚩.
Now, In my opinion it is of the upmost importance that the police find Gabby‘s boyfriend as soon as possible as it is extremely possible that he could do more damage to another individual or even to himself now that Gabby has been found. It is possible that this reveal will send him off the deep end. Brian has been in hiding for several days and police all across florida are currently searching for him. This is truly a devastating end to her case, and definitely not the results that we wanted at all. But, now we have to make sure that she gets justice. So keep spreading the word about Gabby and all the missing and the lost.
Brian, they will find you. I promise.
Speaking of someone who thought they were smart enough to get away with murder….Our good Ol friend Letecia Stauch is facing the music in front of a jury of her peers. Well sort of. This past week the “good doctor” was in court via video for her preliminary hearing for the brutal murder of her 11 year old stepson Gannon in 2020.
Letecia must be bored to death with this whole court thing as she requested outright to leave her hearing. Claiming, that she “trusted her lawyers”. This is just another view into to her narcissistic world view. Only Leticia matters.
Since the dreaded autopsy results have now been made public, we can now confirm exactly how Gannon died. His own Stepmother had the guts to shoot, stab, and beat this beautiful human being. Before shoving his poor small body into a suitcase and throwing him off of a bridge in Florida. Then she thinks she has the right to not have to sit in court and hear about what she did. Talk about toxic and narcissistic.
This past week in court, forensic specialists breakdown the evidence found at Reuben Flores Arroyo Grande home, in connection with the Kristen Smart case. Tammy Daybell’s death was listed as asphyxiated, while her and Chad’s children claim their father was framed for everything. Meanwhile, Julius Jones’ October execution date fast approaches, while his lawyers try their best to get his 1996 murder charges overturned once in for all, with the help of a very unexpected person. Will Chad’s children stand by his side through it all, the way Barry Morphew daughters have? Will Paul Flores finally tell the truth about kristin Smart once and for all? I speculate on these questions and more in this week’s Crime Review.
Adoring Supporters Pay Tribute To The Late Kristin Smart
Seriously, watching Kristin Smart finally get the justice she deserves in a court of law is some type of sweet victory. A forensic specialist in the Paul Flores trial testified this past week about the evidence that was discovered during a search of Reuben Flores’ home this past spring (AKA the final nail in Paul Flores’ coffin). The specialist in question explained the process that took place in order to excavate dirt from underneath the Flores’ back deck. Upon searching this location an area of suspicion was quickly found where a dark “stain” could been seen within the dirt. The dirt in this area visually was very similar to what one might find with a shallow grave site. In addition to this, the police cadaver dogs also acted strange while on the property as well, and despite not actively alerting to areas of suspicion or to the smell of human remains, they did respond very “oddly” near the backyard.
The Search Of Reuben Flores’ House
The “stained” area of soil was completely excavated by the two forensic specialists that were present on sight the day of the search, and it was later discovered that this had in fact been the sight of a shallow grave. The two used small shovels to carefully dig further into the thin layers of soil under the deck, with each layer revealing even more staining, which became darker and more pronounced the deeper the hole became. It is believed by the forensic specialists that decomposition fluids were the cause of the ominous stain that was discovered within the soil under the deck.
The biggest aspect of this case that has always haunted me was the fact that none of this needed to happen. If it had been an accident why the cover up? If it wasn’t, Paul Flores could have already served his 25 years and could literally be trying to put his life back together at this point, but he thought he could escape the wheels of justice forever. Was he ever so wrong…. Now Flores is staring down at a half century (or more) prison term at middle age. I cannot think of anything less appealing then spending the majority of your last years in prison (let’s be honest if he goes away for 30 years he would be almost 80 by the time he got out, if he got out at all.) At this point, the best defense for Paul would be to make a deal with the police, trade leniency for the location of Kristin Smarts body. The plea deal he probably should of taken 25 years ago.
Recently, Chad Daybells’ children broke their silence on the charges currently pending against their father. Even when faced with the fact that their mothers death had been from asphyxia, each one of the Daybell children continue to support and stand by their father, Chad. However, I’m not sure if this attitude will continue once chads actual trial begins this fall, as his children already cannot answer for many of the odd or seemingly coincidental facts in this case. Like the fact that their step siblings bodies were found buried in the backyard. None of the Daybell children can explain why this would be the case, and claim that their father was hoodwinked by Lori Vallow, they even went as far as to say that Lori had purposefully framed him for the deaths of the children.
Chad’s Children
These comments actually have me wondering if Chad and his Lawyers are considering using this idea to defend his case in court. Because, if he still intends to publicly defend Lori i cant see his children continuing to believe he was framed, if he isn’t even willing to claim that. I have always wondered if this would come down to one of the pointing the finger at the other, however if both are equally guilty then i doubt we will see a divide in this Doomsday couple very soon, since pointing the finger at their partner could potentially backfire.
In other news, Julius Jones is currently awaiting his October execution date, and now his team of lawyers is getting help from a very unlikely person. If you are unaware, Jones has been incarcerated in Oklahoma for the past two decades, where he has lived on death row for a crime many believe he never committed at all.
Now, a family member of Jones’ alleged victim has come forward to help Jones’ defense team during their last days of appeals. This certainly isn’t the first times Jones’ case has been thrust into the spotlight either. Celebrities and attorneys and web sleuths have been dreaming for a Jones release for well over a decade.
The girlfriend of the man he had long been accused of murdering 22 years ago is now coming forward to say that she believes Jones to be Innocent. Claiming, that the case against Jones was “as weak as ever”. Jones’ defense team submitted a commutation application this past week. The communication appeal is packed with affidavits, testimonies and exhibits that aim to back up Jones’ claim of the last twenty years; that he is innocent. Included in this application is a recorded video of Howell’s girlfriend, talking about her belief that Jones didn’t kill her boyfriend, and points out that she now believes this due to learning new information that originally was suppressed in the original trial.
Update: On the 13th the state of Oklahoma decided that the communication of Jones should likely be upheld, but we still await a final decision.
Hello! And welcome back! Today i’m talking about where i’ve been, what i’ve been doing, and most importantly, my current true crime obsessions.
I took a brief hiatus from making content to plan a large portion of my wedding and because i had brain surgery, but now i’m recovered and back at it again making true crime content for all to enjoy. It took 25 years too long but finally there has been an arrest (Two actually) in connection with Kristin Smart’ disappearance. Kristin Smart was only 19 years old when she went missing without a trace in 1996. At the time Kristin was just a young college student at California Polytechnic University, in San Luis Obispo, California. Now, over two decades later the current trial of her accused murderer, Paul Flores has been captivating true crime fans everywhere. Finally, the prime suspect in Kristin’s disappearance is now facing his day in court, along with his father who is also facing charges in connection with her disappearance as well. I have been keeping up with the case since discovering the Podcast ”Your Own Backyard” which is dedicated to Kristin’s case.
Kristin’s case finally developed a recent lead after police made a startling discovery during a search of Reuben Flores backyard and the area under his deck. The police discovered an area of interest, or “stain” under Reuben’s back deck, where they were able to see where something had been buried for some time and after tests were conducted the Police were able to tell that a body had been there for many years, decaying, and it had just recently been moved out of its two decade resting spot. So, naturally this has us all wondering if Paul or Reuben will finally give up the location for Kristin’s final resting place. Obviously, unless Reuben and Paul have a penchant for burying young college girls in their backyard it is very likely that this was where Kristin spent many years, leading us to speculate where exactly Kristin was moved too so recently, and if it’s possible that we will finally see Kristin Smart’s remains finally brought home to her family after quarter of a century. As someone who has always wondered to happened to Kristin it would certainly be wonderful to see her finally come home after all these years.
Another case i have always wondered about is the strange case of Lisanne Froons and Kris Kramers, and admittedly it is a pet case of mine. The girls went missing allegedly while on a hike in Panama. People have often suspected this was the result of a simple accident, but now i’ve seen some new ideas about the case brought to light. Recently, I have been interested in covering the case in dept actually. On YouTube, I came across videos where a person suggests that some of the photos that the girls took before and after their disappearance were photoshopped and also suggested that a lot was just “off” about the case. Obviously, if that is true that kinda gives their disappearance a totally different vibe.

After watching all of the videos showing the images that are believed to be altered, i can’t really come up with any good explanation for the deviations this guy found in the photos. From faulty angles, to incorrect lighting issues, to items appearing to be completely blurred out, i couldn’t come up with a single bit of hard evidence or otherwise to combat a single one of this guys points. I’m going to include the links to the videos so that you can also see for yourself. If you do watch the videos let me know what you think about them and the points that are made about them. Soon, i plan on covering their case and plan on talking about a lot of the points the “backpacker coach” talks about and how his ideas kinda changed my idea of what happened to the girls.
Let’s talk about the updates in the Suzanne Morphew case! Who has now been missing for well over a year, but it appears that despite not finding Suzanne she may be getting justice once and for all. Her husband Barry has long been a suspect in her 2020 disappearance, and as of August 2021 he is being prosecuted! Barry was charged on multiple counts back in May and we’ve been waiting for this trial ever since. I’ve been keeping up with his preliminary trial in connection with his wife’s disappearance and all of the Morphew family’s dirty laundry is finally coming to light. Shockingly, both of Barry’s daughters have supported him everyday of his preliminary hearing, through the bad the ugly and the worst of it. The girls obviously believe in their fathers innocence, which makes the whole thing even more heart breaking because its almost like no one is on Suzanne’ side except the state, who is just doing their job.
The preliminary trial has done a good job of putting the pieces together of what happened directly before ,and then after Suzanne disappeared. We even got to see Suzanne’s text messages between her and her friends, that showed that Suzanne was the one who was done with the marriage, not Barry. In fact, in one chilling text message Suzanne said “I don’t know what the young me was thinking.” (in reference to marrying her husband, Barry). Suzanne paints a picture of a very controlling husband, explaining that she would leave the marriage but that Barry would not let her (RED FLAG). Ninety percent of her texts about Barry had me waving my red flag furiously.
Barry apparently used biblical references only when it suited him during arguments, threatened to commit suicide if Suzanne left him, and would try to force their daughters to pick sides when they would fight (Toxic/narcissistic parent move). And, the worst accusation of all… it was alleged that during the last time Suzanne had cancer, she and Barry had been fighting often and at one point Barry told Suzanne in no uncertain terms that she couldn’t leave him because then “Who would pay for her cancer treatment”. Yup. He went there. If Barry couldn’t have Suzanne he was going to make sure no one else could either. Classic emotionally abusive husband. But, Barry isn’t the only one having to face the music in front of a jury of his peers, so is our “favorite” Doomsday couple, Chad and Lori Daybell.
Keeping up with the Daybell’s is certainly no easy task, as it is often a jumbled and tangled mess of places, people, and criminal events. But, those of you who have followed the case know that murder charges have finally been been filed, not just for the deaths of Tylee and JJ, but also charges have been filed in Arizona against Lori as well for her role in orchestrating and covering up Charles Vallow’s (Husband #4) death. I truly hope that both Lori and Chad realize that they are going to go to death row regardless of their lawyers tricks or how many times Chad’s children come to his defense.
Naturally, the Daybell’s lawyers are trying to do just about everything to prevent a speedy trial from taking place. From adding new defense lawyers into the mix to trying to get their clients to be declared incompetent, the list goes on and on. We all know that Lori and Chad are crazy, but their definitely not that crazy. They were able to cover up their crimes and then flee to Hawaii, that sounds pretty competent to me. In my opinion Rob Wood made a huge mistake to not contest the ruling that Lori was incompetent to stand trial.
In fact, I think their actions after the deaths of JJ and Tylee just goes to further prove their understanding of their guilt. They attempted to flee and hide after what they had done, knowing full well it had not been within the law. People that are truly and clinically insane don’t act like these two, they don’t orchestrate elaborate murder plots and then cover their tracks afterwards. I hope both of them know that they cannot slow the wheels of justice indefinitely, I wonder if that’s a hard pill to swallow for two people who thought they were smart enough to get away with everything.
Speaking of a nasty pill to swallow, I recently listened to True Crime Garage’s episodes on the Chicago Tylenol Poisonings. It really reignited my previous interest in the case, and In some ways it reminds me of the D.C Snipers case. Lee Boyd Malvo and John Mohamad shot and killed multiple people in the D.C area in 2002, with the goal of killing Mohamed’s ex wife without him automatically being suspected. In that case there was only one true victim, while the others that died were simply collateral damage. I’ve been wondering if something similar could have happened in this case. it’s been a long time since 1982 when these poisonings occurred and this now has many questioning if these murders can even be solved at this point. What do you think about the Chicago Tylenol Poisonings? do you think that they can still solve the case?
Darrick Chauvin’s fall from grace was truly a wonder to behold, Was anyone else glued to the screen every second of Darrick Chauvin’s murder trial? I know I definitely was.
The moment it all changed.
Finally, after more than a year justice was finally served in this case, and i cannot deny that it was satisfying to see him convicted on all three charges. I remember all i could keep thinking was how crazy Chauvin’s eyes looked towards the end of his trial, its like he could see what would happen next and knew his fate was sealed. I’m certainly looking forward to see what happens in the court cases of the three other officers that were involved with the death of George Floyd. I don’t have as much anger for them as i do for Chauvin, but i do believe they deserve their day in court to tell their side of the story and for George to receive the justice he deserves. Far too many of our police officers are draw to the profession because of an inclination for control, domination, and cruelty, and they believe that their brothers in blue will help to shield them from any and all consequences from these actions.
That stops now. This trial showed the world that as a nation we simply will not tolerate this type of behavior from those who have swore to protect and serve their communities.
In March of 1998, Ron Bradley excitedly told his family that he had been gifted a Southern Caribbean Cruise, through his job. The cruise would take them all across the Caribbean, from Puerto Rico, to Aruba and Curacao, and St Marteen. The entire family was very excited about this opportunity, and were certainly looking forward to taking this trip together. Ron and Iva made the trip down to Puerto Rico, with their two adult children, Brad and Amy. Their daughter Amy had just finished college and was working towards establishing herself as an adult.
But, Amy was actually the only member of the Bradley family who was apprehensive about going on this week long Caribbean cruise. Amy was described as not having traveled much, and felt nervous about being out in the middle of the ocean. But, despite this initial apprehension, the entire Bradley family was soon having a wonderful time together on their trip. During the journey from Puerto Rico to Aruba the Bradley’ enjoyed crystal clear waters, great food, fun and exciting entertainment, while enjoying a beautiful sunset or two. The Bradley’ had no idea of the fate that would soon await them, nor did they realize just how close danger lurked, waiting for the right moment to make an ambush. For many, a Caribbean cruise would of been the vacation of a lifetime. But, for the Bradley Family, a once in a lifetime trip, soon turned into every parents worst nightmare.
